La Vergne

The City of La Vergne, Tennessee is one of the fastest growing communities in the state as well as the country. The City -- which shares a city limit with Nashville -- claims nearly 27,000 people. In addition, the city has the largest industrial park and one of the largest subdivisions in the state.

Part of the reason for the growth is the city’s close location to major interstates -- Interstate 24 runs through the city limits and Interstates 65 and 40 are within 15 miles -- as well as the availability of major city resources in Nashville and nearby Murfreesboro. The northernmost city in Rutherford County, La Vergne is proud to be the home to international companies such as Bridgestone, Ingram Books, Ingram Entertainment, Waldenbooks, Hollywood Video, and more.

In recent years, the industrial boom in the city has multiplied numerous times, adding such well-respected companies as Nokian Tires, United Stationers, Quality Industries, Thompson Machinery, Square D and Whirlpool Corporation.

The numerous employment opportunities, combined with a low city property tax (50 cents per $100 assessed value), access to Percy Priest Lake and location (just seven miles from Nashville International Airport and two miles from the Smyrna Airport) are just some of the advantages to living in La Vergne.

New and previously owned housing are available in the city which offers all the conveniences of grocery and convenience stores, restaurants and other shopping outlets while still maintaining the small town environment.

The City has three elementary, two middle, and one high school providing a quality education for students of all ages. In addition, a number of local colleges and universities are located within 20 miles of La Vergne, including MTSU, Vanderbilt, Motlow State, David Lipscomb and Belmont.

All of this combined makes La Vergne one of the best cities in the U.S. in which to live.     Why not see for yourself?     We welcome you to La Vergne and hope that you will not only make a cyber-visit but also visit our city in person!

Testimonials

I want to share with you my appreciation for the work that you have done to help me with the sale of the property at 793 Farmingdale Dr. in LaVergne, TN. After interviewing 3 realtors, you chose Joseph Goodman with RE/MAX Legacy Properties. Joseph was an excellent choice. There was much work that needed to be done to prepare the house for sale. Joseph put us in touch with exactly the best person to do each of the needed projects--electrician, yard cleanup, and general contractor (for carpentry, painting, plumbing, flooring, and landscaping work) and more. Joseph was patient with the pace, provided solutions to problems quickly, and answered questions almost immediately ( via text ). He was efficient and effective in every instance. He is the most professional, thorough, and respectful realtor that I have ever dealt with. You have helped me do a very difficult job at a very difficult time in my life. I appreciate your help more than I can say. I believe that God is watching over me and giving me the help I need through the people who are in my life. Much love always, Ruth Ruth
FW: Attention Dave Ramsey ELP team: First, I would like to thank you for providing this service. The three realtors you provided were all excellent. We chose Joseph Goodman because of the energy, ideas, respect for our wishes and honest evaluation of our home. He then attacked the process with vigor, efficiency and was extremely effective. I would like to emphasize that we had some challenges that he could have left to us, but he did not. He also never failed to deliver on his promises and stay after others until the delivery on theirs. The results speak for themselves: contracted at the “coming soon phase”, closed 45 days later and sold for more than asking price. I don’t think you can ask for more. Gail and I recognize this entire experience for the blessing that it has been. Thanks again for the service and for keeping it Christ centered. Thanks, Mike and Gail Mike and Gail Kane
